Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ALS desorder

Stephen William Hawking, the British theoretical physicist who discovered the theory of black holes. Known for his contributions in the field of physics and cosmology, this does not seem to be distinguished between scientists and inventors! However, what increased his fame was his persistence, resistance, and continuation of his research despite his motor disability.so what is this desorder , and what are the main Symptoms and the traitement that could be adapted ?

Amyotrophic or lateral sclerosis, is a chronic neurological disease that is characterized by damage of the neurons responsible for controlling voluntary movements .

Symptoms are muscle stiffness, weakness and atrophy, weight loss, inability to balance and move, in advanced cases it is difficult to swallow and breathe.

About the treatment, science has not reached a cure yet. Nevertheless, permanent medical care is limited to relieving symptoms, by prescribing some pain relievers to treat spasms and muscle pain. A few medications can also be tried to delay the development of the disease, artificial respiration, and other medical procedures to improve the condition of patients.
